This weeks educational post isn’t about nutrition or calories it’s about your mindset, which is just as important. Arguably more important. Mental health is equally as important as physical health💪🏻
A massive shift in my mentality recently is to stop searching for happiness in the future and find it in your present 🔬
I used to tell myself I would be happy when I went on a holiday, when I got a certain job, when I finish college, when I have my own house, when I reached a certain number on the scales or when I looked a certain way🙈
Even when I reached these goals I was still waiting for that “happiness” feeling 🤔
But one major shift in my thinking is to look for happiness now, in the present 😊
Yes I would love a holiday but we live in a beautiful country there’s plenty to do and see (even with restrictions). I have a full time secure job and I am very great full
for that. I love what I am studying, I enjoy learning and that makes me happy, helping other makes me happy. I may not have my own house YET but I have a roof over my head and I’m happy at home. I have reached that certain weight on the scales and gone even lower, it didn’t make me any happier, in-fact the opposite. I now am happy with my weight, just as happy as I was during the Xmas festivities when I was 3/4kg heavier 🍻 I have been the leanest of leans and been very unhappy, I am comfortable and confident in my own skin and very happy with my body and most importantly my health holistically 💪🏻👏
